FlorAalsmeer – For a livable Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart

Our election manifesto will be published soon!

Together for our community

We live in a time when important decisions are increasingly made outside our municipality—at the regional, national, and European levels. These decisions have a significant impact on daily life in Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart.

FlorAalsmeer is critically reviewing these developments, both for and with the residents. We safeguard the independence and distinctive character of our villages and ensure their quality of life is maintained. We are making our voice heard!

Outside influence? We keep control.

Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart are moving along with developments towards 2030 and beyond. But Brussels, the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (AMA), and Schiphol are exerting considerable pressure.

FlorAalsmeer wants residents—especially young people—to know what this means for their environment. We take responsibility for properly informing them and actively mitigating the impact on our municipality.

No backyard of Amsterdam

The space in our municipality must be carefully designed. We want a good balance between business, transport, sports, and recreation—primarily for our own residents.

Visitors are welcome, but we are careful not to let Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart become Amsterdam's "bedrooms or backyards."

Accessibility and infrastructure: smart and integrated

  • Reliable and good public transport is a priority.
  • Residents must be able to move easily and freely within the municipality.
  • Every change in infrastructure must be considered integrally — changes in Kudelstaart affect Aalsmeer and vice versa.

A vision for the future

We want clear answers to essential questions:

  • How many more companies can we accommodate?
  • How many residents and homes can we still accommodate?
  • What is the impact on liveability, safety and traffic?
  • How much tourist and recreational traffic is still responsible?
  • How do we care for our elderly and preserve our youth?

If this vision for the future doesn't come from above, we will create it ourselves — together with the residents.

Affordable housing for everyone

  • Focus on affordable housing for young people, seniors, first-time buyers and those moving up the property ladder.
  • Less power for project developers.
  • Housing associations should be given priority when building rental properties.
  • Attention to the target groups that are having a hard time now.

Care and health close by

Everyone should be able to live safely, healthily and happily and grow old without worries.

  • Clear information and accessible assistance.
  • More attention to prevention and mental health.
  • Good healthcare, close to home.
  • In 2050: healthy, fertile soil and clean bathing water for future generations.

Living in connection: young and old active together

FlorAalsmeer wants the municipality to support educational, enjoyable, and varied activities. Volunteer work is invaluable—we actively protect and encourage it.

Listening to residents

We want to be accessible to all residents. Do you have a question, are you struggling with something, or are you unsure where to go? We're here to listen and help you get started.

Facts first, then judgment

FlorAalsmeer conducts thorough investigations, speaks with stakeholders, and proactively shares facts. This is the only way we can make fair and realistic decisions.

Honest management, strong control

We stand for open, honest, and above all, ethical governance. We take our supervisory role seriously and, with every decision, ask ourselves:

“What benefit will this bring to the residents?”

The quality of life in Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart always comes first.

Our rule of thumb; “Say what you do and do what you say”
